Afterschool Arts Program

Thank you to Ms. Fontaine and Ms. Blim for bringing this item to my attention. The After School and Out-of-School Time Grant (ASOST) ACCESS ARTS program is getting off the ground here at Haverhill High School. Students should take a look at the course list to see if there is something that interests them. Courses are held after school (T, W or Th) afternoons, from 2:15 – 5:30. Each class lasts 6-8 weeks and is limited to the first ten (10) students who sign up. Right now, the courses available are:

  • Garage band
  • Dynamic video
  • Digital piano
  • Acting 101
  • Design without a dime
  • Game design: fusion2
  • Oil painting
  • Poetry plus
  • Fashion design
  • Textile design and fabric painting

ASOST is looking for motivated and talented individuals interested in after school programs in the arts. Courses will be offered throughout the spring and summer, so look for updates.

Teachers interested in developing a course for the ASOST program (textiles, drama, screenwriting, CAD, etc.) should remember that the course can not be something that is already taught during the school day; though it can be an advanced level offering of a school course. The goal is to provide high quality, in-depth courses that will strive towards mastery in a specific area. Materials and equipment needed for the class should be included in a course description. Technology and computers will be available on a scheduled basis. Please contact Ms. Blim or Ms. Fontaine for more information.

Thank you for stopping by and see you on Friday.
