Have you ever heard of the large collection of garbage floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? Some have reported that it may cover an area twice the size of Texas! Sounds like an urban myth, doesn’t it?
Unfortunately, “garbage island” is a very real phenomena. I first heard about this a year or so ago and it was recently featured on a weekend program called news to me. I have also discovered a web-site that has a twelve part series covering an expedition out to “garbage island”.
